The last national hunt meeting on these shores before a mighty weekend of racing at Leopardstown takes place at Down Royal. Gun Digger looks a stand out on the card for Messers Elliot and Kennedy in the 15.20 Silks At DownRoyal Rated Novice Hurdle. The son of Stowaway won a heavy ground bumper at Thurles and has run well all three times over hurdles, with the form of his first and third runs working out particularly well. Stepping back up to this intermediate trip should suit. On his first start he finished seven lengths behind Beyond The Law (137) eleven lengths behind Impact Factor (128) and eighteen lengths behind Supreme favourite Getabird (152). Eagle Lion who beat him the last day has come out and won easily. With a clear round he should win.
West Coast Time has been fairly disappointing after a fast start to racing career and the drop back in drip does not look set to suit Guided by you. He won over 3 miles on heavy ground at Cork last time. On ratings Paper Lantern could be involved, based on chase rating but he has shown little in last two hurdle starts.
Gun Digger 2pt win Boyles, Betfair and Ladbrokes
